Freestyle Digital Media Unearths All Digital Rights to Family Adventure The LOST MEDALLION
October 8th Slated for VOD release of the film starring Billy Unger and Sammi Hanratty
Freestyle Digital Media (FDM) announced today that they have acquired all digital rights to family adventure drama The LOST MEDALLION, which was written and directed by Bill Muir. The film was produced by Muir, Mark Burman, Bobby Downes, Kevin Downes, Wych Kaosayananda, Phillip Moses and Michael Scott and stars Billy Unger (YOU AGAIN, “Lab Rats”), Sammi Hanratty (“The Unit,” “Pushing Daisies”), James Hong (KUNG FU PANDA, BLADE RUNNER), Alex Kendrick (COURAGEOUS, FIREPROOF) and Marc Dacascos (“Hawaii Five-O”).
THE LOST MEDALLION, is a faith-friendly film which was awarded the Dove Foundation Seal of Approval. In March, it was released by Freestyle Releasing in conjunction with Christiano Film Group on almost 100 screens in multiple markets in the U.S. and is slated for a VOD release on October 8th, 2013.
Plot: When Daniel Anderson (Alex Kendrick) visits a foster home to drop off donations for the children, he is roped into telling them a story. He tells them about the adventures of Billy Stone (Billy Unger) and Allie (Sammi Hanratty), two teen-age-friends, who uncover a long-lost-medallion and then accidentally wish themselves back in time and into a great adventure. Will the experience give them a new understanding of who they are and what their lives really mean? When Daniel finishes his story to the children he tells them of their tremendous value to God who loves them and created them. The story not only changes the children, it is bound to change all who see the movie.
The deal was negotiated by Rich Christiano of Christiano Film Group and Susan Jackson, CEO of Freestyle Digital Media.
“The Lost Medallion is an adventure film for the whole family with a wonderful message,” said FDM CEO Susan Jackson, “and it fits perfectly into the Freestyle Digital Media repertoire.”
