Freestyle Sets Release Dates for ‘A True Story’

Directed by Malcolm Goodwin, the film was written by Cameron Fife and Tyler McGee, who also appear in the feature along with Katrina Bowden.

Freestyle Releasing and Freestyle Digital Media will release A True Story, a coming-of-age movie directed by Malcolm Goodwin, theatrically on Oct. 25. Prior to that, the film will be offered on multiple VOD platforms beginning Sept. 20.

Cameron Fife and Tyler McGee, who co-wrote the script, appear in the film, whose cast also includes Katrina Bowden, Kelen Coleman and Jon Gries.  Goodwin, Fife and McGee also produced the feature.

STORY: Freestyle Releasing Takes Coming-of-Age Film ‘A True Story’ 

In the film, Fife and McGee play two two broke writing partners waiting for their big break when an ex-girlfriend (Bowden) of Fife’s character enters the picture.

Recent Freestyle Digital Media titles include Funeral Kings, the documentary Samsara and Tiger Eyes.
